WHAT IS A JET TORCH LIGHTER?
A jet torch lighter is a refillable butane lighter that makes a pressurized, focused flame instead of a soft yellow one. The flame burns hotter and is windproof, which is why torch lighters are popular for cigars and outdoor use.
TORCH LIGHTER VS REGULAR LIGHTER: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
A regular (open flame) lighter makes a soft yellow flame that is easy to blow out. A torch lighter makes a focused jet flame that is hotter and windproof. Torch lighters light faster and more evenly; open flame lighters are quieter and better for things like candles.
WHY WON'T MY TORCH LIGHTER LIGHT AFTER REFILLING?
The most common causes are air trapped in the tank (bleed it by pressing the refill valve with a small screwdriver until it stops hissing, then refill), cold butane (wait 2 to 5 minutes after filling), the flame adjuster turned too low (turn it toward +), or overfilling (release a little gas and try again).
WHAT BUTANE SHOULD I USE IN A TORCH LIGHTER?
Use refined, high-purity butane. Lower-grade butane leaves residue that can clog the small jet nozzle over time. See our recommended butane brands page for brands we've tested.
HOW DO COLORED FLAME LIGHTERS WORK?
Our pink and green flame lighters still use regular butane. A treated element in the burner colors the flame as it burns, so there's nothing special you need to refill with.
CAN I BRING A TORCH LIGHTER ON A PLANE?
In the U.S., TSA does not allow torch lighters in carry-on or checked bags. Always check the current rules for your airline and country before you fly.
WHEN WILL MY ORDER ARRIVE?
WE SHIP PACKAGES OUT 1-2 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER YOUR ORDER IS PLACED. FROM THERE, IT WILL TAKE 2-5 BUSINESS DAYS FOR YOUR ORDER TO ARRIVE AT YOUR DOOR/MAILBOX.
HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?
ONCE YOUR ORDER HAS SHIPPED, YOU WILL RECEIVE A TRACKING NUMBER AT THE EMAIL USED FOR YOUR ORDER.
WHAT FUEL DOES MY LIGHTER USE?
THE TYPE OF FUEL YOUR LIGHTER TAKES WILL BE LISTED ON THE PRODUCT PAGE. YOUR LIGHTER WILL EITHER USE BUTANE GAS, LIGHTER FLUID, OR A RECHARGABLE COIL.
HOW DO I FILL MY LIGHTER?
FOR FILLING INSTRUCTIONS, SCAN THE QR CODE INCLUDED WITH YOUR LIGHTER OR VISIT THIS TUTORIAL.
