Why does my lighter arrive empty?
Federal regulations don't allow lighters to be shipped with fuel. Every butane and wick lighter ships empty; fill it when it arrives. Coil lighters need only a USB charge.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Orders ship 1 to 2 business days after they are placed, and you get a tracking number by email once your order is on its way. International orders take longer to arrive than U.S. orders.
Do you include butane?
No, butane can't be shipped with lighters. Pick up refined butane locally. See our recommended butane brands.

What's the difference between a torch lighter, open flame lighter, wick lighter and coil lighter?
Torch (jet) lighters use butane to make a hot, windproof, focused flame. Open flame lighters use butane to make a soft yellow flame. Wick (zippo-style) lighters use liquid lighter fluid and a cotton wick. Coil lighters have no flame at all; a rechargeable battery heats a metal coil.
What is the best lighter for cigars?

What is the best windproof lighter?
Jet torch lighters and electric coil lighters are both windproof. Torch lighters need butane; coil lighters just need a USB charge.

How do I fill a butane lighter?

Why won't my butane lighter light after refilling?
Usually air in the tank (bleed and refill), cold gas (wait 2 to 5 minutes), a flame adjuster set too low, or overfilling.
Can I use lighter fluid in a butane lighter?
No. Butane lighters only work with butane gas; lighter fluid is for wick lighters.
Can I bring a lighter on a plane?
In the U.S., TSA allows one common (non-torch) lighter in your carry-on. Torch lighters aren't allowed in carry-on or checked bags. Electronic/coil lighters are generally carry-on only. Always check current TSA and airline rules.
